Description

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) have released a joint Recruitment Notification (01/2025) for various Teaching and Non-Teaching positions. Both KVS and NVS are autonomous organizations operating under the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for these posts. Candidates are strongly advised to refer only to the official websites of CBSE, KVS, and NVS for authentic information regarding this recruitment. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India, and requests for change of station/region will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Application Fee

The examination fee varies based on the post. (Page 34) :

  • ₹2300/-: Principal, Assistant Commissioner (KVS/NVS), and Vice-Principal.

  • ₹1500/-: PGT, Assistant Engineer, Finance Officer, Administrative Officer, TGT, Librarian, PRT, Assistant Section Officer, and Junior Translator.

  • ₹1200/-: Senior Secretariat Assistant, Stenographer Gr I & II, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Lab Attendant, and Multi-Tasking Staff.

Fee Exemption: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from paying the examination fee.

Syllabus (Key Components)

However, the recruitment exam (Tier 1/2) generally covers the following broad sections for teaching posts (KVS/NVS):

 For all the posts listed above, the Examination Fee is ₹1200/- (plus ₹500/- Processing Fee).

  • Examination Fee: ₹1200/-. 

  • Processing Fee: ₹500/- (to be paid by every applicant).

  • Exemption: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempt from the examination fee, but must pay the ₹500/- processing fee.
