As per the information released by the JSSC, the tentative date for the Written Examination is within the next 90 days, giving candidates approximately three months for preparation. This time is limited, and now the entire focus must shift to the pattern and syllabus of the Written Examination.

The Written Examination will consist of three papers, which may be conducted on the same day:

Paper-I: Language Knowledge

• Questions: 120 (Hindi: 80, English: 40)

• Objective: This paper is purely Qualifying in nature. Securing a minimum of 30% marks is mandatory to pass.

• Preparation Strategy: Focus on Grammar, Idioms, and Comprehension. Daily practice can help you easily clear this section.

Paper-II: Regional/Tribal Language

• Questions: 100

• Objective: The marks from this paper will be added to the merit list. This paper will play a crucial role in determining your rank.

• Languages: One of the following: Santali, Mundari, Ho, Khadia, Kurukh (Oraon), Kurmali, Khortha, Nagpuri, Panchpargania, Odia, Bangla, or Urdu.

• Preparation Strategy: Build a strong command over the literature, grammar, and folk culture of your chosen language. Study previous years’ questions intensely.

Paper-III: General Knowledge and Technical Knowledge

• Questions: 120 (General Studies: 40, Knowledge related to Jharkhand: 50, General Science: 20, General Mathematics: 10)

• Objective: This paper is also merit-determining and covers the widest range of subjects.

• Preparation Strategy:

  • Jharkhand Knowledge (50 Questions): Dedicate the most time to this section. Cover the History, Geography, Culture, Economy, and Current Affairs of Jharkhand.

  • General Studies and Science: Rely on fundamental NCERT books and read daily Current Affairs.

  • Mathematics: Practice fundamental questions primarily from Arithmetic.
