How to Prepare for This Exam
Master the Basics: Start with high-school level mathematics and grammar to clear the Preliminary round, which focuses heavily on speed.
Time Management: Practice with a timer. Preliminary sections are only 20 minutes each; you must solve 30-35 questions in that window.
General Awareness: Read daily newspapers and monthly banking digests. The Main exam requires deep knowledge of General Awareness (40 marks).
Local Language: If you are applying for an office outside your native state, start reading and writing in the local language (e.g., Marathi for Mumbai) to pass the LPT.
Mock Tests: Take at least 2 full-length mock tests weekly to understand the 1/4th negative marking impact on your final score.
